Rachel has taught elementary grades for over two decades in public, private, and specialized schools. After serving as the Primary Lead Teacher at Pathway for 12 years, Rachel took a medical leave and spent four years recovering, spending extra time with family and going back to school. Now that she and her husband are empty-nesters to four adult children, Rachel eagerly returns to Pathway to serve and fulfill her passion for educating bright students with unique learning styles. Accepting the position to teach writing, writing intervention, and Bible fills her heart with joy and a sense of purpose. During her four-year hiatus, she returned to school. She completed 36 units in post-baccalaureate studies at SDSU in Speech, Language, & Hearing Sciences, with the goal of completing her Master's degree and obtaining a license as an SLP. Rachel loves combining her passions for neurology, speech, language, linguistics, hearing sciences, teaching Bible, and Language Arts to serve and guide students on their unique paths to achieve their God-given potential as they recognize themselves as successful learners with beautiful gifts and talents.
